A very cordial welcome to you!
You have found the website of Dr. George Pierce, a retired professor of intercultural relations living in
Nepal.
In Nepal we look up to Mt. Everest, the highest mountain in God's created earth, a symbol of strength
and God's magnificent glory.
God's glory is also manifested in the growth of believers. In the 1960s there were only 25 believers and
now there are over 500,000... and growing! The need for training new leaders is overwhelming.
My call as a Global Teams worker is to respond to the needs for theological training in Nepal and, using
Nepal as a base, to reach out to other surrounding countries. I will be working with groups that already
exist to meet these needs and as this work develops will need and will invite others with this call to join
me. Our hope is the spreading of the Gospel to many unreached areas in Asia.
NEW STUFF
At "People" you will find some more about me and my family in Nepal.
"Ideas" has some haiku I wrote on my journey to Nepal and another trip to Vietnam that didn't come off
quite as planned.
On "Prayer Requests" you will find the current prayer needs. Want to know what "Prayer Mountain"
means for Nepal? It's the second article on the Prayer page.
On "Contact" you will find how to reach me or to give to our cause.
The rhinos in the picture below are inviting you to come in and enjoy!
